Was Sarah Palin ever on the cover of “Newsweek” magazine?

Both of the covers created mild controversy when they appeared… The September issue featured the Alaskan Governor, and Republican Veep candidate holding a rifle over her shoulder. The October issue drew criticism of Newsweek because it was an extreme closeup of Sarah Palin’s face, that some pundits saw as unflattering. The photo was reportedly un-retouched, highlighting wrinkles, pores and (according to some reports), hints of facial hair. I’ve seen it, and personally I don’t see anything terrible about it. It’s not a glamour shot to be certain, but it’s a stretch to find anything terribly offensive about it. If news came out that NewsWeek was intentionally trying to make Ms. Palin look bad, that would be another story altogether. Sources: http://bumpshack.
