Romeo did not “dump” Rosaline. If anything it was the other way around. Rosaline did not love Romeo. So he was suffering from unrequited love, and was really pretty miserable about it. Juliet, on the other hand, loved him back. He would have had a hard time “dumping” Juliet back then anyway, after Friar Lawrence married them. No divorce…
