Yes…they are within the same time period. However, there is no definitive dates for the time period. The consensus is that the Renaissance began around 1350 with the ideas starting in Italy. The Reformation, which was sparked by Martin Luther’s 95 Thesis in 1517, was a direct result of Renaissance ideas (along with the constant abuses of the Catholic Church). The Age of Exploration also is a direct result of the Renaissance…obviously Columbus in 1492 and then Magellan around 1517 (I think) led the movement.
