Was president Bush right to veto the withdrawal of American Troops from Iraq?

0

Bush had no choice but to veto the bill which included a timetable to remove US troops. He is in a damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation. The war is unpopular with American citizens so Democrats are pushing withdrawal for political purposes in the upcoming elections next year. They know that there is no way, given the present circumstances, that our troops can be withdrawn, even if it was a blunder to invade Iraq in the first place. Many Democrats openly supported the war in the early stages. The fact is that anarchy would break out in the middle east if we pull troops out at this time. This would destabilize world oil prices and economies as well as result in increased terrorism world wide. An additional result of withdrawal could be World War III as countries are pulled into the resulting regional conflict.

If it is the will of the American people to pull their troops out of Iraq it was very wrong of George Bush to use the veto. He is the Chief Executive not the Dictator of the United States Of America. He is too arrogant and conceited to believe let alone admit that he could make a mistake. We in Great Britain have the same problem with our Prime Minister.

President Bush did the Right Thing, The Democrats hate our Troops but they proved it with this Bill.
