Was piper-heidsieck champagne 1959 a good year?
Answer 1959 was a great year for Vintage Champagnes. However, it’s now almost 50 years old; and unless it has been stored pristinely from the start, it is likely past its prime and probably valueless. However, if you have a few bottles, bring one to a specialist to taste and evaluate. If you only have 1 bottle of it, I’d have it soon; but I’d also have a back up of a fresher bottle handy.
