Was Paul a follower of Mithra.?

The book I started said the same thing…in a different way 🙂 I don’t remember it mentioning Mithraism specifically-it kinda ‘glossed’ over it by saying Greek society (culture and religion) It differs a little in that the authors feel Paul was a popular leader so the politicians (or whoever was in power) pretty much took his works and plagiarized parts to suit themselves. One example they use to defend their argument is he (supposedly) says he ‘will not suffer a woman to teach’ but then there are recorded instances of him walking and talking about religion with women. The authors also say modern Christianity is nothing like the original and then they describe Gnosticism…which does sound more like something a loving deity (Jesus, not the OT God) would teach.
