Was Obama lying about the AARP or did he have another calibration problem?
AARP is a liberal group. They support liberal causes. They really (I believe) support Obama. Yet, they have not officially supported any health care reform bill. Being seen as supporting this bill (the House Bill that can be read) has hurt their reputation. It is true they have never endorsed it or any bill. Obama just wants to get votes for this bill. He wants to influence public opinion in its favor. He thinks AARP’s reputation would help. That is why he said what he said. He has been lying a lot! Yet, this I believe was more of a mistake then a lie. It is part of being more of a salesman than someone who cares about facts. Obama will tell us what he thinks we want to hear. He speaks according to the polls, he lets others carry out his liberal agenda.
