Was nudity in front of servants and aides common among royals of ancient and medieval times?
Yes. Royals got their servants, many cases slaves, to help them to dress, take a bath etc. It was common and a sign of wealth. And relationship between the king and queen was very important because it meant the future of the dynasty and the kingdom. So EVERY little detail about their relationship would be reported because it played an important part in politics. And frankly many royals did not consider servants, especially slaves, to be human beings. Like most of us would not bother about changing in front of a bird or fish. Royals and the rich looked upon their servants in the same way.
