Was Nikola Tesla the brains behind Edison?
This a very complex question. I will try to summarize in a few words what I know about it. Telsa was an extremely good scientist. Edison was a great inventor. I believe the two began competing over which was better: direct current or alternating current. Edison was for direct current and even ran newspaper ads that alternating current kills people as it was used to power the electric chair. However, Telsa stuck to his design for alternating current and it turned out that that was the only way to power huge number of homes and factories.
