Was Neil Armstrong the first man on the moon ?
Yes, of course he was. Here’s a radical theory: the American people, government and NASA had the nerve to invest an awful lot of time, effort, and lives into the Apollo programme, and as a result Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon on 20th July 1969. It was one of the greatest achievements in human history, and (as a Briton), something the American government did the whole world could be proud of. When could you last say that? Anyone who bandies conspiricy theories around is having fun, but at the expense of astronauts such as Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee, who died in pursuit of the Apollo dream.
