Was moving from New York City to Bloomington, Indiana, a big adjustment?
I had grown up in a tiny town, population 78, that was a suburb of Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania, itself a small town of several thousand. Bloomington is very progressive, home to the University of Indiana. After all, this is where Alfred Kinsey came to work. You and John became engaged shortly after you met posing for his album cover. Can you believe that was 15 years ago? Not at all! I am in complete denial, though our sons are 11 and 12. When I met John, I knew very quickly this was something special. I hopped on his tour bus with a weekend bag and never went back. We traveled the globe together those first six months. When you married John, you became instant stepmother to his three daughters. In some ways, I was still a child myself. But I knew that I wanted to build something with John. And, in a way, the children force you to make a commitment. Their feelings have to be considered. While I was more like a friend to his oldest daughter, the other two were these lovely little girls.
