Was Mohinders story mapped out from the beginning?

Not at all, no. When I first auditioned for the part, it was written as a 55-year-old man and there was just one scene. I don’t think it was a regular character. It was just a guest spot. I did the screen test and they ended up changing the whole part to fit me. Then the pilot script changed. There were six permutations of the script, and in the final one I had four or five more scenes than in the original. I was never the narrator of the piece originally. Having my own storyline and having input as the narrator as well has been absolutely amazing. Is it Mohinder narrating or a separate character? The vocabulary seems closer to that of Mohinder’s father. I’m treating it as a separate character. I have no idea how it’s going to tie in and I have purposefully not asked the writers. I don’t want to know, because it will change the way I do it. I assume they’ll tie it in somehow. Am I reading out of my father’s journal, maybe? Where are all these words coming from?
