Was Mohamed Ali (Cassius Clay) Racist?

There was nothing “honorable” about Elijah Muhammad, he was a former Baptist Minister, and a con man. The whole “Black Muslim” movement was as racist as the White supremacist’s of the day, but you have to admit that had a lot more class than the Klan. They in effect became what they tried to fight against, and in my opinion, two wrongs don’t make a right, intolerance is racist no matter what color is practicing it. The racist Jim Crow south and the institutionalized racism of the 50’s & 60 prior to the civil rights movement was just as evil as what Louis Farrakhan preaches today, and both are in my opinion disgraceful. Ali made mistakes as a young man, but as he got older, he got wiser, and I will never consider Ali a racist. The group that Malcom X championed on the other hand was as racist as it gets. Saying the Devil has “Blond hair and Blue eyes pisses me off to this day and is as bigoted as the N word.
