Yes, he was. A popular Los Angeles tourist attraction was renamed from Universal CityWalk to Universal Moonwalk on July 9, 2009. From 7pm, the entertainment center was transformed into a huge Michael Jackson tribute party, featuring outside screenings of movie THE WIZ – which Michael starred in and the music video for Thriller.
