No, but her departure from the soap in 1995 carried with it a lot of controversy! Melissa Reeves left the soap in 1995 because of marital problems with husband Scott Reeves (who was at that time on The Young and The Restless). Apparently, there had been something doing with Melissa and Jason Brooks who was currently playing Peter Blake, Jennifer’s new love. Melissa terminated her contract very early and against the show’s wishes stating that her family was important and she needed to put them first. Melissa was later sued for her actions and was upset though it is very evident that all things have been forgiven as Melissa reprised her role as Jennifer in 1999, a mere four years after. Upon Melissa’s exit in 1995, Stephanie Cameron took over the role of Jennifer temporarily so that Jack and Jennifer could be written off the canvas.
