But Jesus did not spring from the jowl of Mary, he came head-first (assumed), screaming and kicking from her womb, out through the vagina, just like you and me. Perhaps there is something akin to your understanding of intercourse in her relationship with God, but don’t you think that sort of trivializes the entire God-Mary-Jesus thing? Intercourse is a sensory issue, a mechanism by which God allows humans to procreate. He didn’t need that. He could have had her wave her shawl over Joseph’s cap and Presto! Jesus. But he didn’t do that either. Mary’s virginity is not an issue because once she accepted Christ, the first human to ever do that, she became exalted among all women. I doubt if sex was a major issue for her. She had the Son of God to bear and raise. Kind of major things to deal with. Which is why you should really look with admiration at St. J
