Was Mahatma Gandhi mentally deranged?

I’m not sure about your third point, but the first two aren’t that bizarre. Gandhi had the capability to see the good in people, and he certainly saw the good in the British. As such, he expected for a brief period of time, that understanding the hardships of the Indian people would make the British feel bad and thus, grant Indians their independence. It may seem bizarre, but that’s one of the great things about Gandhi. He saw the good side of people. The reason he slept naked with women was to test his own commitment to celibacy. He was a man, after all, and wanted to test his own limits. This is admirable. Few people, and fewer leaders, are aware of their own weaknesses.
