Ponce de Leon bathed in every river and creek in the southeast of NA hoping one was the “Fountain of Youth”. These guys were very naive and adolescent minded Europeans, wandering about rather aimlessly…following wisps and rumors. A good way for a village or tribe to get rid of them was to tell them that “over the next mountain range”…were the “Seven Cities of Cibola”,…”Cities of Gold”.
