The Followill boys were recently named to the shortlist of nominees for the Uncut Music Award, which will honor the best album released in the last year. On top of that, the band will release their first concert DVD, ‘Kings of Leon: Live at the O2 London, England,’ on Nov. 9. It’s no secret that the band was hugely popular overseas, particularly in the UK, before releasing ‘Only by the Night’ last September. The British magazine Uncut will be judging that album against Grizzly Bear’s ‘Veckatimest,’ Animal Collective’s ‘Merriweather Post Pavilion,’ Bob Dylan’s ‘Together Through Life,’ Wilco’s ‘Wilco (The Album)’ and three others. The winner will be announced in the January issue, which hits newsstands Nov. 24.
