Was John Kerry silent about plot to murder 7 U.S. Senators?
An assassination plot to kill key figures, including seven Senators, who supported the Vietnam War was proposed during a November 12-15 1971 meeting of The Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) in Kansas City. John Kerry had been the VVAW’s principal spokesman on “Meet the Press,” “The Dick Cavitt Show” and a Senate Committee as well as a member of the Executive Committee for much of the previous year and a half. Kerry has consistently denied being present at the Kansas City meeting at which the proposal was rejected in a vote by about 50 Chapter Coordinators of the (VVAW). But according to the current head of Missouri Veterans for Kerry, Randy Barnes, Mr. Kerry, who was then 27, voted against the plot and then orally resigned from the organization.
