Was Jesus the David Copperfield of the 1st century?
David Copperfield used television camera angles and paid audiences in on the trick to do his acts. What kind of TV camera do you think Christ had? Lets explore your premise just a bit. Feeding the five thousand took place in the desert. Five thousand was the number of men, not including the women and children they brought along. Let’s just assume they each brought along one person and call it ten thousand. Now, we are talking about probably at least a box truck’s worth of food here, maybe more. Where would he have hidden that much food? That would have probably taken a caravan of camels to bring it in, that would be a bit hard to hide. If he’d hidden it somewhere to magically bring it out later, with no refrigeration or ice available, don’t you think it would have started to stink? He was a poor man, as were his disciples, with no visible means of support. As his disciples pointed out, it would have taken a year’s wages to buy food for that crowd. What would your explanation be?
