I am a Republican who was raised in Detroit. I can tell you that Detroit went to hell when it became a Democrat controlled city, and that has been decades ago. Believe it or not before the Democrats and the unions took hold, it was a nice city. Then under the rule of leftists, the city became enslaved and felt entitled to the hard earned money of others. Detroit now looks like Beirut on a bad day. It is overrun by mobsters, drug dealers, and pimps. Taxes are high and it is regulated by a corrupt government. The regulations are to line the pockets of the politicians and mob bosses. Thankfully, I escaped. I worked hard, full-time and went to classes and got my degree, then obtained a good position and continued classes, I worked up to a fine advanced degree and yes, I came from little and grabbed a piece of the American dream. I know for a fact that it has been under the left wing for so long there is no accountability, honesty or personal responsibility anywhere to be seen. The Republic
