Definitely the “A&W” Then to the rink. I think I’ve done about all of the above answers, until about ten minutes before the rink closed at 10PM, we would all get together and do the one rule that would get you expelled, “Crack the Whip”. The rink closed the same time as our curfew, so most people headed home. Others like myself would drive to the dump and shoot rats by car light, listening to great tunes. Hey – It was a small town and sometimes you make your own fun.

Oh that was a big thrill and a big deal to go to the skating rink. I got to go to it on church outings and birthday parties. I was always so amazed at how some of those guys could skate. Never got that good at it. Met a short time boyfriend a time or two. haha Have a good one.
