Was it right to bomb hiroshima?
The bombing of Hiroshima was necessary since there was an estimated 500,000 United States lives at stake if we invaded… However, bombing Nagasaki was uncalled for, it was to show the Japanese we had more than one bomb and we’d drop more if we had to. Of course we only had two but the Japanese did not know this, and would have undoubtedly surrendered after the first bomb was dropped, but Truman wanted to send a message.
