John Wilkes Booth killed Lincoln at Ford Theater. Mark David Chapman shot and killed John Lennon. John Hinkley Jr. was obsessed with Jodie Foster after seeing the Taxi Driver, and like the main character in the movie played by Robert DeNiro, planned to assassinate the President of the United States to get the attention of Jodie Foster (in the movie, she played a young prostitute that Robert DeNiro’s character was obsessed with). So Hinkley tried to kill Ronald Reagan. I have no clue how Rory Emerald ties into all of this, other than him being somewhat of a bs-er.
