Was his job in fact to lie, stonewall and obstruct public examination of the Fletcher administration?
Here’s the most recent lie Barr has been caught in. Merit employees of the Kentucky Attorney Generals Office generally respond to Open Records Requests. One such request during the Fletcher administration drew the talented Mr. Barr as the responding obstructionist to cover up. As the Herald Leader’s piece on Andy Barr noted, Barr is “proud of his work as attorney” for discredited Gov. Ernie Fletcher who had 9 top aides indicted for criminal conduct in a merit system scandal. Barr even goes so far as to say, “I was a voice of COMPLIANCE within the administration” in a pathetic effort to wear the white hat. Barr was in fact busy ignoring laws of every sort and variety. Court records reveal he has 5 speeding tickets, a public drunkenness arrest, fake ID conviction and noise ordinance citation.
