Was Gary Moorecrofts 2001 mark (as the Beatles would put it) “bigger than Jezzas”?
Moorecrofts was better than Jezza’s mark, Jezza’s was a ripper but there have been stacks better in my opinion. I tend to agree with G.I concerning the Michael Roach mark, that was the best I’ve seen in my time watching footy, you guys should see if you can watch it on youtube maybe, I actually have that mark on a tie, it’s a chest mark above a 3-4 man pack, unreal it was. Reminds me of Gabba’s run, the old footage is very dodgy, it shows him running and bouncing the ball but they are the same images from different camera angles, there have been some great running goals, Michael Mitchell’s 7 bounces against Sydney, Micky McGuanes 7 bounces at the G, and my cousin, Ryan Lonies, run from the defensive 50 with 4-5 bounces against Melbourne, at the G to finish with a great goal. (the only time I’ll ever admit to clapping a Collingwood goal).
