Freddie Mercury was never married but did have one female love interest in his life which was during his late teens early 20ies. Although he always knew he was gay in the beginning he kept it to himself, they became a couple for some time until Freddie finally addmitted to her that he was gay, at first she was upset but eventually accepted it. They remained close friends until the day he died of complications associated with the AIDS virus.
