Was Descartes right that there couldn be a mountain without a valley?

Intrinsically, valleys are between the mountains, and a mountain is creates a valley just by existing. However, Descartes as a philosopher obviously has a deeper meaning. When one has victory in life, it is unique and wonderful because there is in stark contrast to the loss in life. If you had nothing but positives and victory, it would lose its meaning. And so to is the converse true.

There’s only so much land to use. If there’s going to be a mountain on one part of the land, then it’s going to have to take land from another which forms the valley. If you want to put it economically, look at our capitalist country we live in. We have men like Bill Gates and Donald Trump who could practically swim in their money. Then we have those who don’t even have the privilege to shower, in the same country. i really think that’s how Descartes meant it, when there are powerful and rich people, there has to be the poor and slaved people.
