Was communism a real threat to America in the 1960’s and if it was whyy was it?
The first escapee I met was at a 7th Army School. He and his older brother walked more than 600 miles to escape the USSR. He was 16, it was 1968 Hungary Joe fought the USSR in the 1958 revolution in Hungary and had to bug out to escape death. Don’t remember his name but a guy I was training walked thru most of Yugoslavia inot Italy or Austria to get here when he was 15. Helen had her Father, Brother in Law, his brother and many she knew placed in prison by Vietnamese communist forces in April 1975. Her Saigon apt was used to house 2 minor officials that used her as a sex slave. Once both parents died she got on a small ship, they drifted without engines for 3 days before grounding on a Malaysian reef. She held her son over her head and swam to shore. Many of the older one drowned. She then spent 2 years in a Refugee camp before getting her. At age 60 she will attack Vietnamese with the accent of the north…..ATTACK, spit on, verbally abuse and she is not alone in that reaction among t
