No, Cleopatra VII Philopater, the last pharoah of Egypt, was not the most beautiful woman on earth. In fact, she was apparently not very beautiful at all. She did however have a commanding presence and was highly educated. She was clever and had sex appeal and knew how to deal with men. In the words of Plutarch, “judging by the proofs which she had had before this of the effect of her beauty upon Caius Caesar and Gnaeus the son of Pompey, she had hopes that she would more easily bring Antony to her feet.
