Was charles dodgson (lewis carroll) a pedophile?
Yes – this was published in Scientific American some years back. Dodgson would end up in prison for it now – but in those days nobody knew what they were looking at. Dodgson was a photographer – and he loved to take pictures of little girls without their cloths on. He also took pictures of little girls dressed up in older ladies (which is another form of pedophilia). He would apparently convince the mothers of these girls that this was for ‘science’ or some other reason – and he did get away with it. He felt bad enough so that he destroyed the plates of the little girls who were naked – but Scientific American had a few of his photos of girls dressed up like older ladies. Dodgson was probably very “fixated” on Liddell. I wasn’t aware he destroyed pictures and diary entries where she was concerned – but it makes sense. Pedophilia was just as common in Victorian times as it is now except that Pedophiles got away with it a lot longer years ago. Check out the Scientific American files – I
