Was Boise States close win against Louisiana Tech a BCS deal breaker?
Give Boise State coach Chris Peterson credit for waking up and smelling the coffee. The Broncos struggled on the road last week with Louisiana Tech, a 3-5 team, before winning 45-35. Early in the fourth quarter Boise State led only 30-28. Here is the reality for Boise State, which is 9-0 and ranked No. 6 in the BCS: If No. 4 TCU loses down the stretch and the Broncos finish 13-0, then they will go to a BCS bowl. But if TCU wins out, Boise State is going to have to convince the BCS bowls that they are more worthy than, say, a 10-2 USC. In that respect, the close win over Louisiana Tech could be a deal breaker.
