A large section of a five-story building collapsed in lower Manhattan today, sending bricks and debris crashing onto Reade and Church streets. No injuries were reported by 7:30 a.m., the New York City Police Department said. Advertisement The New York City Fire Department was continuing a search through the rubble as a precaution. The section of the building at the corner of Reade Street and Church Street fell about 6:15 a.m., taking the scaffolding that was around the building with it.
