Was Andrew Strauss right to bowl Andrew Flintoff in Antigua?
After losing the first match (and after getting all out for an embarrassing 51) the onus was on Strauss to stand up and show the world that he can lead the team to victory. So he’ll throw everything on the line to achieve it. If we look it from Strauss’s point of view, he was not entirely wrong. He was under tremendous pressure (still is) and he needed to win at any cost, even if it came at the expense of Flintoff’s career. He was ready to take that chance. In the end, he may have pushed a little too much. But his intentions were good.
