The following is a cut and paste from the new car feature manual for the 92 Paseo: The newly–developed 5E–FE engine is a lightweight, compact and powerful DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) 1.5–liter, 16–valve engine. It is based on the 3E–E engine in the Tercel and has large bores. The Paseo never had a 2.4L. The 5S-FE from the Camry is a 2.4, but is a completely different engine., and is much larger. The 5E-FE would probably bolt right in with little or no modifications, and would be a good swap. Hope this helps. God bless!
