Want to get myself a puppy… preference is Labrador Retriever, Boxer and Dalmatian…..which one is best ?
Hey I have a great idea – you are so set on a puppy – why dont you wait until AFTER Christmas – and I’ll tell you why. The pounds and newspapers will FILL UP with all the ill advised Christmas gifts that people cant keep, dont want etc. You’ll have your pick of puppies that’ll need a good home and you’ll be saving a life. It doesnt make any appreciable difference whether the dog was owned previously or not. Or better yet, why dont you contact a local breed rescue in the breeds you listed and REALLY do something wonderful for a homeless animal or help someone who needs to save the life of a pet they cant keep. I’ve done it and its really the best feeling when you see the relief on the face of the owner when you help them save their animals life. Please consider adopting an older animal, puppies are cute but they are ALOT of work and I just dont see the WHY people are so insistent on getting a puppy when an older animal can be such a joy and usually has already had some kind of training.
