Wait a minute, there is a charge for religious school?
Through its budget, the Temple subsidizes about half of the religious school budget. However, education is a major project of a Jewish community. In contrast to churches, where religious education may take place during part of the Sunday worship, religious school is an institution unto itself, including its own Board of Education. The Temple budget and religious school fees go toward book purchase, teacher and specialist salaries, and materials for all our innovative programs on Sundays and Tuesdays.
