Hello all i have a mk3 golf and when i change gear it does not go back to the neautral postion, i think it could be something to do with, a broken spring, can anyone confirm this for me, and is it easy to fix thanks everyone A: hi tony! first thing to check is the gear linkages,these are very prone to seizing up, wot to do is get a mate to work the gears and you spray the linkage with wd40 or something similar to you get to the stage when the links are free .
