Voting Question: Which caliber should I choose, .243 or .308?

I have a bit of a dilemma, I am going to purchase a Remington model 700 SPS, and I don’t know whether to choose the .308 Win. or the .243 Win. I’m looking for a light to medium skinned game rifle that will accurately shoot 200-300 yards, and occasionally out to maybe 500 or 600 yards max but still carry some punch. The .243 round i chose is the Federal Premium Nosler ballistic tip 95 grain, and the .308 is the Federal Premium Nosler ballistic tip 150 grain. I’m choosing between these 2 calibers for a reason, I’m buying a custom stock for the gun, which will only accommodate .243 .308 .300 Win Mag. and .338 Lapua Mag. But I don’t want the recoil of a magnum, I’m going to shoot this alot, less recoil is better. So unless there is a way to reduce .300 mag recoil to that of a .243, then .243 or .308? If you have a way to reduce the .300 Mag. recoil but you need to see if the stock I’m going to buy is compatible, here’s a link… http://www.accuracyinternational.com/aics_kits.php P.S. If yo
