VOIP voice quality problems – where to turn?
We deployed a hosted-pbx solution a month ago and have been having increasing voice quality problems (we cannot hear entire words). The problems seem to get worse in the afternoon. When I am the only one in the office the voice quality seems fine. I have been in touch with the voip provider and they have only been able to provide the most basic of troublehsooting information (do a traceroute and check for line problems – there aren’t any, adjust jitter settings – don’t seem to help, replace our new modem – we haven’t done it – does not sound like this is the problem, reboot router – tried it). They have told me the service may not work for us. I have been in touch with my isp to check for line problems and other suggestions and they have only told me they see no line errors. Is there a resource out there that can definitively help us determine if we need to upgrade our line (business class sdsl 768k) w/secondary adsl line (1.5 / 768) (have tried using only 1 line without success), chan
