Vocational Training/Job Development and Placement What services do individuals receive through vocational training?
• Recruitment; • Referrals from the Illinois Department of Human Services and the Illinois Board of Education • Outreach • Initial assessments and orientation to Agency services Vocational Evaluation • Needs assessments • Comprehensive vocational evaluation • Individual service recommendations • Identification and referral for services Developmental Training Daily living skills are developed through intensive activity in psychomotor development: • Dressing and grooming • Toileting • Daily hygiene • Eating • Language • Reading • Writing Work Adjustment Training Participants are assisted with the development of competencies for marketable work skills. There is continual progress review and analysis, all directed towards preparing participants for competitive or vocational training.
