Ensure that your WiFi permission is set to Allow: Some WiFi networks are configured in a way that prevents Vlingo from connecting to them. This situation is particularly likely if Vlingo is returning an error that says ‘Network Error.’ In this case, first make sure your browser can read Web pages over WiFi. If it cannot, Vlingo will not work either. Next, try running on a different WiFi network. If Vlingo can run on one WiFi network but not another, the problem is probably being caused by the network’s configuration rather than by Vlingo. Finally, make sure your WiFi permission and your Connection Preference are both set properly. To check that your WiFi permission is set to Allow, do the following: • Select Options from the BlackBerry Applications screen. • Select Advanced Options. • Select Applications. • Select Vlingo. • Press the Menu key.
