VLC For iPad Submitted For App Store Review, Will It Be Approved?
Look, it’s pretty lame that Apple decided to restrict some users from watching their keynote, slated to take place later today. At the time of the company’s announcement, it was noted that only users with iPhones, iPod Touches, iPads, and Macs would be able to stream the event, leaving Windows and Linux users in the dust. You don’t have to settle for a liveblog, friends. You too can enjoy the live streaming goodness. Here’s what you have to to: • Download VLC Media Player here (it’s great, and I’ve been using it for ages). • Once downloaded, from the Media menu, select Open Network Stream. • Paste this URL in the field: http://devimages.apple.com/iphone/samples/bipbop/gear1/prog_index.m3u8 • Hit Play and you’re with us! If for some reason you’re having issues with the above URL, try this one instead:http://bit.ly/dzRiT3Let us know how this goes for you. Remember, the event begins at 1PM Eastern, 10AM Pacific.
