Vitamin A can be toxic at high doses. Is the level of Vitamin A in TOZAL safe?
Although high doses of Vitamin A can potentially be toxic with prolonged intake, TOZAL’s 10,000 IU have been found to be safe even with extended intake. TOZAL was formulated with a combination of beta-carotene and true Vitamin A for several reasons. As a person ages, they reduce their ability to convert beta-carotene into Vitamin A so TOZAL was formulated with this in mind. Also, Lutein reduces the absorption of beta-carotene, therefore a supplement that includes Lutein benefits by having Vitamin A to compensate for the negative impact on beta-carotene absorption.
