A proprietary formula, also known as a “‘proprietary trade formulation,” is a patented formulation of ingredients. A product composed of such a formula, such as Vitalzym, is required by the FDA to list the sum total of ingredients, but is not required to list the quantity of each ingredient in the blend. As much as we’d like to, we simply can’t find out, and therefore can’t relay to you, the exact proportions of the enzymes in the Vitalzym proprietary formula.
