VIRUSfighter and version numbers – How can I check that VIRUSfighter is up-to-date?
You can find the version number of VIRUSfighter by choosing “Update status…” from the tray icon menu. “Update status…” will give you the version number of VIRUSfighter itself, as well as the version number and “Last updated” time for “VIRUSfighter Scanner Engine/virus definition files”. To consider VIRUSfighter as up-to-date, the ‘last updated’ time for “VIRUSfighter Scanner Engine” should be no older than a three of days from the current date. You should not worry if scanner engine’s version number differs from the current version number of VIRUSfighter. The scanner engine has its own internal version number.
