If videos appear black, or RSIGuard crashes when displaying stretch videos, the problem is that you have a missing or defective video software “codec” (a type of program used to display videos). This is most common in computers that come with pre-installed video software that overwrites Microsoft’s default software with defective software. Microsoft provides a fix for this problem by offering a free download of corrected video software from Microsoft. Download this package from Microsoft, install and run the package, and RSIGuard videos (as well as other videos) will work correctly. Note that Windows plays videos in literally dozens of formats, so even if you haven’t had problems displaying videos, this fix from Microsoft will generally solve the issue.
