Youtube playback can be improved. Read my tutorial on improving Youtube playback, for more information. Video playback for iTunes and Quicktime, as of this writing, can not be improved on an iBook G3. Videos sold from the iTunes store, utilize the H.264 video codec, which is a bit too taxing for the meager video cards found in the iBook G3. DVD playback is a smooth experience and low resolution videos (320×240) should playback with few hiccups.
