Victim of stolen identity — I have already filed a police report. Is there any way to block my name when someone is searching on the internet?
Kieran gave you good advice, however, it does not work, as I said in a comment to him. Here are a few other things you can do. You can go to the cyberprotection agencies and ask for help. You are going to be denied because they only care about children being abused. I went to EVERY single cyberprotection agency to try to get the slander taken down of me. You can hire a lawyer to try to force the websites to take the slander down and/or to legally force the slanderers to stop slandering you and/or remove the slander. This, too, does not work. The lawyers cannot affect the websites in any way. The CAN get an order of “cease and desist” against the slanderers. However, they cannot enforce it. If the slanderers say “no”, internet Law has not caught up with real life law… it is completely unenforcable. You filed a police report… that is good. I do not know if the Law can stop the person IRL. I do not know if they can stop the person from continuing to use it online since it is documente
